Job summary

Crisis24 is seeking a Public Safety Liaison in Houston, TX to bridge autonomous vehicle operations with municipal emergency management. The role builds trust between corporations, emergency management, and public safety agencies and requires on-call availability and occasional travel.

You will work with Crisis24 First Responder Ambassador Team and coordinate with local jurisdictions to enhance preparedness and response during disasters and large events.

Qualifications

• FEMA Independent Study ICS 100; Introduction to the Incident Command System
• FEMA Independent Study ICS 200; Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
• FEMA Incident Command System 300; Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents
• FEMA 700; An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
• 5+ years of experience in emergency management, public safety, or disaster response.
• Ability to define, build and maintain a broad network of working relationships.
• Existing networks and contacts in public safety agencies beyond Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS, community facing organizations, and state and local government agencies.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Familiarity with risk assessment, hazard mitigation planning, and continuity of operations (COOP)
• Experience with EOC exercises (tabletop, functional, full-scale)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with public safety and community organizations to strengthen trust in AV operations.
• Participate in training sessions on emergency preparedness, incident response, crisis management, and recovery operations.
• Conduct drills, tabletop exercises, and full-scale simulations to assess readiness.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in emergency management practices and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate emergency preparedness into operations.
