Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a Key Account Director, Small City to lead a regional team of Key Account Leaders selling to public safety agencies (1–40 sworn personnel). This first-line leadership role centers on recruiting the right people, coaching them into great sellers, and keeping them here.

You will drive funnel, pipeline, and forecast discipline across the region, collaborating with Channel, Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Government Relations, while leveraging AI tools

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years leading quota-carrying sellers as a first-line manager, with year-by-year attainment.
• 4+ years total in enterprise software, hardware, or SaaS sales, including closing complex multi-stakeholder deals.
• Demonstrated success recruiting sellers: a real network and structured process.
• A coaching approach with measurable improvements in mentee performance.
• Strong retention history and ability to develop people into larger roles.
• Experience selling to or leading teams into SLED customers; procurement knowledge.
• Fluency selling with channel partners and partner ecosystems.
• Daily, systematic use of AI tools in your own work and in team workflows.
• Executive presence with customer leadership and team leadership under quota pressure.
• Ability to travel at least 50% and be based in the West Region.

• Own regional hiring for your region: build a pipeline and close the candidates you want.
• Hire to the leadership bar: integrity, team instinct, conversational craft, and tool fluency.
• Screen for evidence: year-by-year attainment with lived examples.
• Run a structured interview process with live sessions and independent scoring.
• Onboard and ramp new leaders with a clear day-one to first-award path.
• Lead 1:1s and deal reviews to build judgment, not just inspect pipeline.
• Get in the field: join demos and meetings for actionable feedback.
• Build MEDDPICC rigor, channel fluency, and forecast honesty into the workflow.
• Raise AI tool fluency and scalable workflows across the team.
• Own region numbers: pipeline coverage, forecast accuracy, and quarterly linearity.
• Partner with Channel on partner strategy and joint planning.
• Sponsor top pursuits and coordinate with Mid-City and T1200 leaders for routing.
• Represent customer insight to Marketing and Product for gaps and opportunities.
