Job summary

Blu Omega Inc. is seeking a Public Health Business Analyst to join a remote team focused on modernizing public health data exchange and interoperability across health information systems.

Responsibilities include eliciting requirements, mapping data flows, and coordinating with stakeholders and SMEs. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years as a Business Analyst in technical projects, with strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-team work in public

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Minimum 2 years as a Business Analyst in technical projects.
• Familiarity with public health surveillance and workflows.
• Ability to map end-to-end data flows and system integrations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; clear to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and manage business and technical requirements via interviews, workshops, and reviews with public health stakeholders and SMEs.
• Develop requirement artifacts such as business requirements, user stories, process maps, data flow diagrams, and acceptance criteria.
• Support analysis of system integrations and data flows across public health programs, laboratories, registries, and external partners.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate requirements into solution designs, backlog items, and implementation plans.
• Contribute to test planning, test scenarios, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Assist with documentation development including SOPs, data dictionaries, user guides, and meeting summaries.
• Support data quality, timeliness, reporting requirements, and reuse across public health use cases.
• Communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
