Job summary

Blu Omega Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to support a federal program focused on public health analytics in a hybrid Atlanta setting. You will elicit requirements, map processes, develop user stories, and support Agile delivery, working with business stakeholders in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities include translating needs into actionable requirements, managing backlogs in Jira or Azure DevOps, and supporting UAT. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years BA experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience with business users.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience supporting UAT activities, including test plan and scripts.
• Strong familiarity with Agile principles, ceremonies, and backlog management with Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to elicit requirements via interviews and process analysis.
• Experience documenting as-is and to-be processes and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, and testers to translate needs into requirements.
• Lead requirements gathering via interviews, process analysis, and workflow analysis.
• Develop and maintain business, functional, and non-functional requirements including data and dashboards.
• Translate business needs into user stories, specifications, acceptance criteria, and business rules.
• Manage requirements and backlog artifacts using Agile tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Document current and future state processes, identify gaps, and opportunities for automation.
• Support UAT by developing plans, facilitating testing, and validating solutions for deployment.
• Conduct qualitative analysis and provide strategic recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure solutions meet objectives.
