Blu Omega is seeking a Data Analytics Consultant - Health to support a federal program focused on Medicare policy, payment models, and population health analytics. This role operates in a remote environment and analyzes Medicare data to deliver data-driven insights for program decisions.

The position requires 4+ years in health analytics, proficiency with SQL and statistical languages, and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, Biostatistics, Data Analytics or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in health analytics, healthcare research, or policy environments.
• Proficiency with SQL and at least one statistical programming language (Python/R/SAS).
• Experience with healthcare claims/enrollment data in large data warehouses.
• Knowledge of healthcare data structures, attribution methodologies, and claims-based analytics.
• Ability to develop analytical methodologies, validate results, and prepare technical documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Medicare claims, enrollment, and related healthcare data using SQL and statistical programming tools.
• Develop, validate, and document analytical methodologies and data processes.
• Write efficient, reproducible code using SQL, Python, R, SAS, or similar tools.
• Support healthcare policy, payment model, and population health analyses.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Create reports, presentations, and visualizations to support program objectives.
• Collaborate with teams and government stakeholders to craft analytical solutions.
• Contribute to recommendations that support value-based care initiatives.
