Job summary

Intertek in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Process Safety Management (PSM) and RBI Engineer to join our Asset Integrity Management (AIM) team. This role is remote with travel up to 25% and focuses on improving process safety, asset integrity, and operational reliability through PSM and RBI programs.

You will lead PHA/HAZOP, conduct RBI studies, develop risk-based inspection plans, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or related Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in process safety, inspection, RBI, or asset integrity.
• Experience with OSHA PSM, API 580/581, API 510, API 570, and API 579.
• Experience with refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, or industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate PSM activities including PHA/HAZOP, MOC, incident investigations, and compliance assessments.
• Perform RBI studies in accordance with API 580/581 methodologies.
• Identify damage mechanisms and evaluate PoF and CoF.
• Develop risk-based inspection plans, inspection intervals, and mitigation strategies using Intertek's Aware APM software.
• Support Mechanical Integrity and Asset Integrity Management programs.
• Analyze inspection, corrosion, and operating data to assess equipment risk and remaining life.
• Conduct client workshops and present technical findings and recommendations.
