Job summary

Onterris is seeking an Associate PSM Consultant (PHA Leader) for a partially remote role, with up to 50% travel to client facilities across the USA.

You will lead PHA and LOPA activities, conduct audits, support development of PSM/RMP programs, represent the firm at conferences, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in process safety and a BS in Engineering with strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in process safety.
• Strong knowledge of PSM and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to mentor and train junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide facilitation or scribe services for PHA, LOPA, and Hierarchy of Controls activities.
• Conduct compliance audits at client facilities to assess performance against regulatory requirements.
• Help clients build and enhance their PSM/RMP programs through implementation of PSM and RMP elements.
• Industry Representation & Thought Leadership – Represent the firm at conferences, author white papers, and engage in industry associations.
• Cross-Functional Team Collaboration – Support staff-level employees in field work and mentoring junior scientists and engineers.
• Act as point of contact for clients and effectively communicate project status & staffing needs.
• Practice safe work practices by following all safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Travel may be required to offices, project sites and meetings.
