Job summary

Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is seeking a Provider Records Advisor to manage provider inquiries, credentialing updates, and EFT setup in a fully remote capacity. The role requires residence in Michigan for occasional in-person meetings and training at our Okemos office.

The position supports our mission to improve oral health through comprehensive benefit plans and community initiatives. Strong data-entry and office skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work experience in an office environment.
• Ability to start work at 7:30 a.m. or work until 5:00 p.m. on a rotating basis.
• Successful completion of a data entry test within the past 12 months: 5,500 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (test waived if candidate has CRT Operator experience).
• Successful completion of a typing test within the past 12 months: 40 words per minute with 90% accuracy (test waived if current position requires 40 wpm).

Responsibilities

• Responds to written and telephone inquiries from providers regarding their records and network agreements.
• Responds to provider questions, including specialty agreements and W-9 information.
• Establishes EFT records when appropriate.
• Maintains departmental records and files, including initial credentialing and provider updates.
• Researches and resolves inquiries by accessing provider records and NPF and other resources.
• Processes claims assigned to the Provider Records worklist.
• Operates office equipment such as PC, photocopier, scanner, calculator, and fax.
