Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Orlando is seeking a Prosthetic Representative to complete prosthetic and sensory aids assignments, working independently to support PSAS goals.

You will collaborate with Veterans and clinical teams, advise on prescriptions, and manage procurement, budgeting, and contracts for prosthetic devices, while ensuring compliance with JC, CARF, and ABC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with Veterans and clinical teams to assist with applications and answer questions related to benefit programs.
• Provide recommendations to the treatment team regarding the development of prescriptions and provide technical assistance and guidance on planning and coordination efforts.
• Represents PSAS on local and national committees, workgroups, and teams to address PSAS issues, initiatives, and projects.
• Drafts, develops, and implements new local organizational policies, directives, and procedures consistent with national policies.
• Oversees contracting and procurement to prepare and authorize purchase orders for prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Monitors contracts for compliance with the statement of work and ensures prosthetic equipment and services are delivered.
• Develops budget estimates and cost-containment measures for prosthetic equipment and services.
• Keeps supervisor informed of procurement updates and compliance reports.
• Collaborates with Supply Chain to oversee prosthetic service inventories.
