Job summary

The Helen Brown Group LLC seeks a full-time, US-based Consultant to provide high-quality prospect research and consulting support for clients. You will conduct biographical, philanthropic, and financial research on individual, corporate, and foundation prospects, plus prospect management and due diligence reporting.

Projects include identifying new funding sources, wealth screening, landscape analysis, data analytics, and product testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of four years as a prospect researcher at a nonprofit.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to synthesize information and present findings in context.
• Experience with fundraising CRM databases.

Responsibilities

• Create clear, well-researched profiles and briefs using public sources.
• Identify funding sources using current philanthropic trends.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide concierge service.
• Manage assignments independently with accuracy and deadlines.
• Stay current on prospect development and fundraising trends.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy laws.
• Perform administrative and technical duties as needed.
