Job summary

Colorado State University is seeking a Proposal Research Project Manager to lead the preparation and submission of scientific proposals to external sponsors, including federal, state, and local agencies, industry, and foundations.

The RPM will manage day-to-day budgets for a portfolio of research projects, coordinate with faculty, senior researchers, and program managers, and help ensure compliance with funding requirements. Remote/hybrid work options may be available depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Two years of related professional experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Research and coordinate preparation of scientific proposals for federal and other sponsors.
• Prepare budgets and draft budget justifications, ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate requirements across CSU colleges and collaborating institutions.
• Liaise with Office of Sponsored Programs to meet submission requirements.
• Forecast expenditures and manage staff funding to support proposals.
