Job summary

Colorado State University in Fort Collins is seeking a finance professional to manage a diverse portfolio of sponsored research awards, ensuring budgets stay on track from proposal development through completion.

You will work closely with principal investigators, the CIRA Finance Team, and university stakeholders to monitor finances, prepare proposals, and ensure sponsor and university compliance throughout the lifecycle of awards.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree and experience using Microsoft Office with advanced Excel.
• Experience budgeting, accounting, and/or financial management.
• Strong time management and prioritization to meet deadlines.
• Solid information-gathering skills to support decision making.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of sponsored research awards and monitor financial activity.
• Facilitate preparation and submission of scientific research proposals and ensure compliance.
• Interpret sponsor regulations and provide financial guidance to project stakeholders.
• Maintain and analyze project forecasts, staffing plans and expenditure tracking tools.
• Collaborate across PI, Office of Sponsored Programs, and university departments to resolve issues.
