Job summary

PUR HomeRiver is seeking an Associate Property Management Attorney to handle real estate and property management litigation across multiple jurisdictions. This remote US role reports to the General Counsel and requires strong analytical judgment and legal reasoning.

You will oversee discovery, coordinate with outside counsel, and ensure compliance with landlord-tenant law, rent control, and housing regulations, while contributing to policy development and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school required.
• Experience handling civil litigation and real estate/property management matters preferred.
• Ability to interpret federal, state, and local regulations related to landlord-tenant law, fair housing, and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and manage property management litigation and disputes across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate external counsel handling of civil litigation and local matters.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Landlord-Tenant Acts, DRE/REC, Fair Housing, HUD/EPA, and rent control ordinances.
• Prepare responses to subpoenas, depositions, document demands, and government audits.
• Draft and review operational agreements, corporate policies, and licensing documentation.
