Job summary

PURE HomeRiver is seeking an Associate Property Management Attorney who thrives on solving complex real estate disputes and regulatory questions. This remote role handles litigation oversight, risk assessment, and coordination with outside counsel across the Company's operating jurisdictions.

You will report to the General Counsel, manage discovery, draft and review policies, and ensure compliance with landlord-tenant laws, Fair Housing, HUD/EPA standards, and related ordinances.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• At least 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in real estate or landlord-tenant matters.
• Experience interpreting federal, state, and local regulations related to landlord-tenant law and housing standards.
• Experience drafting legal agreements, policies, and licensing documentation.
• Experience coordinating with outside counsel and managing litigation projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and manage property management litigation across jurisdictions.
• Oversee outside counsel in civil litigation and administrative matters.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Landlord-Tenant Acts, DRE/REC rules, Fair Housing, HUD/EPA standards.
• Coordinate subpoenas, depositions, document demands, and government audits.
• Draft and review operational agreements, corporate policies, and licensing documents.
