Job summary

Encova Insurance is seeking a Property Claims Adjuster (Property Specialist II, Inside). The role offers a fully remote option with residency in approved payroll states. You will investigate and process property claims, and collaborate with contractors and adjusters to ensure timely settlements.

The position requires a college degree or equivalent in insurance or business, and licensing within 6 months. Bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Encova Insurance inside property specialist or equivalent.
• Must pass claims adjuster license exams for applicable states within 6 months.
• College degree or equivalent in insurance or business is required.
• Continuing insurance education is desired (IIA/CPCU or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, estimate and process property claims primarily by phone or internal channels.
• Handle personal and commercial losses including structure, contents, ALE, scheduled property and business income losses.
• Assign contractors and/or independent adjusters and review their work.
• Assist resolution specialists with contents valuation and depreciation holdback.
• Ensure compliance with policies and determine liability and settlement.
• Close a minimum average of 70 claims per month (85 for contents).
• Assist in catastrophe claims handling and potential overnight travel.
• Participate as a member of claims teams as assigned.
