Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle accident and weather-related claims for homeowners, commercial properties, and large losses. You’ll be the first contact to meet insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process with remarkable service.

The role requires on-site and remote-field work from Gig Harbor, WA, with flexibility for travel to other territories and occasional overtime to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and others to gather information and resolve claims.
• Interact with parties who express emotions or concerns during inspections or resolutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
• Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare reports to support claims handling.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms to determine claim validity and compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits per policy and guidelines.
