Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle accident and weather-related homeowners, commercial, and large-loss claims. You’ll be the first contact for insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process with Remarkable service.

You’ll perform on-site inspections, gather evidence, and prepare reports while collaborating with policyholders, agents, and other parties to resolve claims efficiently.

Qualifications

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
• Ability to interpret policy coverage and apply guidelines to real-world claims.
• Ability to learn new concepts, processes, and terminology quickly and apply them practically.
• Excellent interaction with policyholders, agents, and stakeholders to move claims forward smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections and assessments for residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with insureds, agents, and others to gather information and resolve claims quickly.
• Interact with involved parties who may express strong emotions during inspections or resolutions.
• Provide exceptional service throughout the claims process and address inquiries promptly.
• Document findings, collect evidence, and prepare detailed reports to support claims handling.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and terms to determine claim validity and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits per policy and guidelines.
