West Bend Insurance Company is seeking an experienced claims professional to handle complex CL & PL property claims for the Cedar Rapids area with minimal supervision. The role is fully remote, with about 50% field time, and periodic travel to an office for meetings or training.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field, plus relevant professional designations and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance or related field required.
• Associate in Claims designation recommended.
• Associate in General Insurance designation preferred.
• CPCU coursework or other continuing education encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex CL & PL property claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager.
• Utilize current Claims technology to research and form coverage bases.
• Conduct thorough investigations, evaluate damages and liability, and negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants and attorneys.
