Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a remote Buyer for Project Pricing to join our Deal Desk. You will work with manufacturers and representatives to secure competitive project pricing for active opportunities, ensuring timely, well-documented pricing requests and credits.

You will coordinate with sales, purchasing, and accounting to reflect negotiated discounts in quotes and orders, while maintaining strong manufacturer relationships and accurate records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of buying, purchasing, or project-pricing experience at a commercial kitchen equipment dealer or distributor.
• Experience negotiating manufacturer discounts, special project pricing, and credits.
• Proven ability to secure manufacturer support beyond standard pricing.

Responsibilities

• Review opportunities with Deal Desk Manager and sales reps to identify pricing support.
• Gather specs, quantities, timelines to prepare complete pricing requests.
• Proactively contact manufacturers to present opportunities and negotiate discounts.
• Identify programs and complete registrations and credit requests on deadlines.
• Negotiate within guidelines and escalate complex cases to Deal Desk Manager.
• Maintain manufacturer relationships with accurate information and follow-through.
• Track requests and follow up to meet quotation deadlines.
• Document pricing, credits, eligibility, expiration dates, and correspondence.
• Communicate approvals/conditions to sales and purchasing for quotes and orders.
• Coordinate with purchasing and accounting to verify discounts and credits.
• Maintain opportunity records and report improvements and turnaround times.
• Stay informed about pricing programs and suggest process improvements.
