Job summary

The Helmsman Group LLC is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to coordinate planning, execution, and delivery of projects from initiation through completion. This remote role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking milestones, managing budgets, and communicating status to stakeholders.

You will develop project plans, manage risks, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business objectives while fostering collaboration with vendors and internal teams across time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of project management experience across disciplines.
• Proven ability to plan, monitor, and close projects successfully.
• Strong knowledge of PM principles, methodologies, and practices.
• Experience creating schedules, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
• Proficiency with MS Office and PM software (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Monday).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans with schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Define scope, objectives, requirements, responsibilities, and success criteria.
• Coordinate activities across departments and teams.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress against plan.
• Establish schedules and ensure deadline alignment.
• Track milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
• Monitor budgets, costs, resources, and financial performance.
• Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and delays; implement mitigations.
• Lead meetings and reviews; prepare status reports and dashboards.
• Communicate progress, risks, and changes to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors when applicable.
• Maintain project documentation, decisions, and approvals.
• Manage change requests through approved processes.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
• Foster effective communication among stakeholders and team members.
