University of Michigan Health-West is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead technical initiatives that support business operations, transformation efforts, and client-facing delivery. This fully remote role may require up to 50% travel, coordinating with IT, business owners, clients, and partners to ensure timely delivery and alignment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
PMP or CSM certification is required.
Experience with Agile, DevOps, PMP, and ITIL v4.
Working knowledge of Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneNote.
Experience leading technical projects in IRS environments.
Experience supporting mixed technology environments (Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris).
Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management.
Active MBI clearance with IRS is required.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage technology projects supporting transformation and client needs.
Direct full lifecycle of small to medium projects or contribute on larger programs.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain schedules, budgets, and contractual delivery requirements.
Serve as the primary contact between technical teams and clients.
Oversee day‑to‑day tasks for project teams and vendors.
Prepare status reports and ensure lifecycle documentation is complete.
Track costs, schedules, and performance metrics and take corrective actions.
