Job summary

New March Strategies is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to manage and drive growth while coordinating client-based activities and providing executive support. This remote role prefers a Madison-area candidate, with residency in the Eastern or Central US Time Zone if outside Madison.

Responsibilities include leading client projects, coordinating staff, tracking hours and budgets, and organizing meetings and filings.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree required.
• Studies or experience in natural resources, conservation, environmental management or forestry preferred.
• At least three years of related, professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects or programs in a team setting.
• Ability to create clear project plans, action item trackers, status reports, meeting summaries, dashboards, and process documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics clearly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across functions.
• High level of personal initiative, reliability, accountability, and sound judgment.
• Strong planning, organizational, prioritization skills, and ability to adapt to changing conditions.
• High level of integrity with confidential information.
• Technical proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and experience with Asana, Toggl, and AI tools preferred.
• High comfort with virtual communication and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage client projects and coordinate across staff to ensure priorities are addressed in a timely fashion and deadlines are met.
• Communicate clearly with clients to obtain information needed to keep projects on schedule.
• Track client project hours to ensure budgets.
• Attend client meetings and take notes with a focus on action items and deadlines.
• Monitor and manage CEO’s email and filing systems for easy access to correspondence.
• Schedule internal and external meetings for CEO and FCD.
• Lead workflow planning meetings and all-staff meetings.
• Update and maintain client and internal company files for easy access.
