Job summary

Stantec in Fresno, CA, is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Environmental Planner for the Environmental Services Power Utility team. You will manage multi-disciplinary projects, lead environmental permitting, and support land use planning for utility programs.

The role requires 5+ years in environmental planning with CEQA/NEPA experience; flexible work location with hybrid arrangements and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and 7–10 years of relevant experience in environmental planning and permitting.
• Experience with Habitat Conservation Plans and environmental constraint assessments is a plus.
• CEQA/NEPA and CPUC familiarity is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-discipline program or project schedules, budgets, staff, and project records.
• Develop workflow processes and communication plans for programs.
• Provide planning and permitting support for electrical transmission siting.
• Lead preparation and review of technical documents for environmental permitting.
• Mentor a team, coaching staff on business development, reports, and project delivery.
• Develop proposals with scope and budgets for environmental tasks, independently or with teams.
• Collaborate with clients, agencies, and cross-disciplinary teams; travel as needed.
• Travel across Northern California up to 10–20%.
