Stantec’s Fresno office in California seeks a Principal Environmental Planner with 15+ years of environmental experience to lead technical delivery, manage projects, and grow business opportunities in the Central Valley region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental policy, environmental planning, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience, preferably in environmental consulting or working for a federal/state/local agency.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management, and leading marketing and business development opportunities.
• High level knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Caltrans standards, and related statutes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with technical delivery of environmental services projects across diverse sectors.
• Provide senior oversight, permitting expertise, and strategic support for infrastructure, water resources, energy, and power projects.
• Lead marketing and business development activities to generate significant annual revenue.
• Supervise project managers and staff and mentor personnel for the practice's success.
• Interface with other Stantec teams to cross-sell services and drive regional opportunities.
• Promote health and safety across the Fresno office and project teams.
