Job summary

Stantec in Northern California seeks a Project Manager with Senior Planning experience to join the Environmental Services Practice in the power utility sector. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, lead environmental permitting tasks, and support CEQA/NEPA and siting efforts for utility projects across Northern California.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience performing environmental planning and permitting work for California IOUs.
• Experience with habitat conservation plans and natural resource management strategies.
• CEQA/NEPA, CPUC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-discipline program or project schedules, deliverables, budgets, staff, and the project record, and bring program/project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work to successful completion.
• Develop effective and efficient work-flow processes and program/project communication plans.
• Provide planning and permitting support for electrical transmission siting and licensing projects.
• Lead the preparation and review of technical documents for environmental permitting and related studies.
• Mentor a team to expand understanding of business development, reporting, and client service.
• Develop proposals (scope and budgets) for environmental services tasks.
• Interact with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and agencies; travel 10–20%.
