Job summary

Peterson Power Systems seeks a Project Manager 3 to oversee large, complex projects, including data centers, engineering/construction, or marine repower. This role combines on-site customer interaction with design/build activities and requires substantial travel.

You will represent Peterson on-site, lead meetings, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate subcontractors and vendors, ensure quality and safety, and maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of directly related experience in project management in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Represent Peterson on-site at customer locations during delivery, installation and commissioning of equipment.
• Schedule and direct regular meetings with subcontractors and customers to track project progress.
• Manage project documents including permits/approvals, payroll, schedules, and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate all project logistics including equipment orders, packaging, shipping and site services.
• Review contracts to ensure compliance with specifications and commercial terms.
• Prepare budgets, issue purchase orders and monitor project financials.
• Select vendors and issue purchase orders based on quality and pricing.
• Travel up to 50% of the time to visits job sites and meetings.
