Job summary

NORR in Chicago is seeking a Project Manager to plan and manage projects to ensure contractual commitments are met on time and within budget. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of architects and engineers, oversee scopes, schedules, and costs, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 10–15 years of project experience, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of project accounting to forecast revenue.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of project work experience
• Experience in residential projects is an asset
• Registered with a relevant professional association is an asset
• Strong understanding of project accounting to monitor performance and forecast revenue

Responsibilities

• Negotiating, developing, monitoring, and controlling the scope of deliverables, work plans, schedules, and budgets for all project stages
• Developing a detailed work plan for all architectural and engineering disciplines, allocating hours to the work plan, and monitoring project progress
• Leading an integrated team of architects and engineers in QA/QC procedures for all deliverables, specifically construction drawings and specifications
• Maintaining a good understanding of the project scope and changes, negotiating solutions to meet client expectations and contractual obligations
• Coordinating with contractor, sub-consultants, or relevant building authorities to address constructability issues or owner concerns
• Acting as the primary liaison with the client, contractor, and project team and ensuring close client relationships are maintained
