Job summary

NORR is seeking a Senior Architect to develop design solutions across all project phases. You will apply detailing and materials knowledge to produce construction documents while coordinating with the design team to fit context, budget, and aesthetics.

You will collaborate with engineers and contractors, ensuring codes and systems are integrated and permits obtained, contributing to successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in all phases of the project cycle is required.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD and other design software.
• Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and codes is required.
• Post-secondary education completed.
• Registration with a relevant architectural association is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develops technical designs and edits architectural drawings to meet quality, timelines, and budget.
• Performs design activities such as programming, code research, materials and systems studies.
• Evaluates site conditions and performs site surveys.
• Reviews project products, services, and shop drawings.
• Coordinates with contractors/consultants to obtain documentation and permits.
• Coordinates with engineers and authorities to address constructability or owner concerns.
