Job summary

E Source is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex AMI and utility technology initiatives for electric, gas, and water clients across the US and Canada. You will plan and coordinate projects from initiation through deployment, balancing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, vendors, and client expectations.

You'll collaborate with executives, PMO staff, AMI vendors, system integrators, and field teams, delivering clear reporting and governance.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of project or program management experience in the utility industry.
  • Experience managing AMI implementations or similar utility technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of AMI components: meters, networks, MDM, systems integration.
  • Proficient with project-management tools and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day PM for complex AMI and related utility technology initiatives.
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, dependencies, resources, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate activities across client teams, vendors, system integrators, field deployment contractors, and other third parties.
  • Manage project risks, issues, decisions, actions, assumptions, and changes, driving timely resolution and escalation as appropriate.
  • Facilitate project meetings, executive updates, workshops, and cross-functional working sessions.
  • Monitor vendor performance and contractual commitments, including milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and acceptance activities.
  • Coordinate across AMI workstreams such as meter and network deployment, systems integration, testing, data readiness, operational readiness, and customer-facing activities.
  • Provide clear, decision-oriented reporting on project status, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and upcoming decisions.
  • Maintain effective project documentation and governance, while building trusted client relationships and identifying opportunities to provide additional value.
  • Forecast project resource needs and maintain resource bookings, and monitor project financial performance to support accurate, timely monthly client invoicing and revenue forecasting.
