Job summary

Core & Main seeks a seasoned PM to lead AMI deployment projects, including smart water meter installations, software integrations, and coordination with subcontractors.

You will drive standardized project management practices, manage schedules across departments, and report progress to leadership while traveling as needed. This role requires deep utility knowledge and PMP preference, with remote work and periodic field visits near major airports.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in utility infrastructure, smart meter deployment, or related project management.
• PMP or similar certification preferred.
• Experience with AMI technologies and smart water meter systems.
• Strong vendor management and subcontractor coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and scheduling/reporting tools.
• Experience with municipal contracts and utility regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and monitors a project plan with timelines for collaboration across departments.
• Oversees integration of smart utility software platforms with customer systems.
• Coordinates project meetings with contractors and vendor partners, including kickoff and updates.
• Maintains and updates all project plans to reflect real-time progress and risks.
• Communicates with field leadership on needs/status and flags barriers causing delays.
• Travels as needed; supports AMI deployment and vendor coordination.
