Job summary

E Source is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex utility technology initiatives for electric, gas, and water clients. You will plan and coordinate engagements from initiation through deployment, balancing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, vendors, and client expectations.

You’ll work with utility executives, AMI vendors, system integrators, and field deployment teams to keep programs aligned and moving forward.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of project or program management experience within the utility industry.
• Experience managing or supporting AMI deployments (electric, gas, or water).
• Knowledge of AMI components: meters/endpoints, networks, data management, systems integration, testing, deployment, and readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project management for complex AMI and related utility technology initiatives.
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, dependencies, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate activities across client teams, vendors, system integrators, and field deployment contractors.
• Manage project risks, issues, decisions, actions, and changes with timely resolution.
• Facilitate project meetings, executive updates, workshops, and cross-functional sessions.
• Monitor vendor performance and contractual commitments including milestones and acceptance.
• Coordinate across AMI workstreams (deployment, integration, testing, data readiness, operations).
• Provide clear reporting on status, schedule, budget, risks, and decisions.
• Maintain project governance and client relationships while identifying value opportunities.
• Forecast resource needs and support revenue forecasting and invoicing.
