SSI SCHAEFER, a global intralogistics leader, is hiring a Project Engineer to support automated material handling projects from order receipt to customer handover. This role ensures designs meet customer requirements and industry standards while coordinating across trades, vendors, and project teams.

Based in Charlotte, NC with hybrid/remote options, you will develop system layouts, prepare technical specifications and tender documents, and manage site and field activities under the Project

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in project/plant/mechanical engineering or related industrial environment.
• Proficiency with CAD and drafting tools to create and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams.

Aufgaben

• Support project management throughout the project lifecycle, from order receipt through customer handover, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
• Develop system layouts, coordinate interfaces, and prepare technical specifications and tender documents for contractors.
• Create and maintain technical project documentation while ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with construction and project management teams to assess site conditions, monitor third-party work, and support installation and commissioning activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute testing and experimental setups within the technology center to validate system performance and design solutions.
• Provide construction site and field support as needed, serving as a liaison between office and site teams and acting on behalf of the Project Manager when required.
