Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer in Dallas, TX on a contract basis with significant travel (up to 75%). The role focuses on managing technology or integration projects for fulfillment and distribution center designs, collaborating with vendors and customers, and applying advanced design approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or in a related occupation.
• Direct management and responsibility for cumulative automation project budgets ranging from .5 million to 50 million.
• Proven technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects.
• Demonstrated design and/or implementation with integrated automation solutions, such as complex material handling systems, high-speed packaging lines, and manufacturing lines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project, and Outlook.
• Highly proficient CAD skills; capable of independently developing an integrated automation layout.

Responsibilities

• Manage technology or integration projects to ensure successful delivery of solutions that meet project goals.
• Collaborate with external equipment vendors, customers, or partners.
• Apply a strong understanding of design approaches and industry technologies in fulfillment and distribution center designs.
• Lead construction management, project management, and vendor management efforts.
• Oversee engineering equipment installation, commissioning, and change orders.
