Job summary

Associated is seeking an Application Engineer - Automation to implement automation systems across customer sites. The role supports the Solution Engineering Team with on-site and remote post-implementation support and frequent travel up to 75–90%, with potential limited international trips.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree (Industrial Engineering preferred) and 5+ years in distribution or material handling, with strong knowledge of warehousing tech, APIs, and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years in distribution or material handling industry.
• Knowledge of warehousing technology and enterprise accounts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own all facets of the role including technical and customer issues.
• Quantify customer benefits and maintain tools to measure them.
• Travel to customer sites to gather information and study systems.
• Collaborate with partners to develop complete solutions.
• Define and document best practices and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external resources.
• Lead and manage resources for defined product categories.
• Represent Associated professionally in meetings.
