Job summary

GRIDWORKS is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate planning and execution of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects from concept through construction. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure design intent and successful implementation.

The role emphasizes EPC contract awareness, design optimization, and proactive support during construction, commissioning, and closeout. 0–2 years experience and a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering; ABET accreditation preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in related roles.
• Knowledge of electrical, structural or civil principles, components and systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD and PDF tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and daily execution of renewable energy projects from concept through construction.
• Manage internal and third-party engineers of record to produce design deliverables within client requirements, budget, and schedule.
• Understand EPC contracts and subcontracts and ensure design activities align with them.
• Provide design intent to clients and relay feedback to design engineers for necessary adjustments.
• Create, track and transmit submittals to clients and engineers of record; maintain document control in Procore.
