Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support the Nuclear Energy Program in a remote role. The candidate will help plan, execute, and complete projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with company standards.

Approximately 25% travel to client sites is anticipated. Key functions include cost control system development, WBS support, Earned Value implementation, and project performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent job experience required; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 10+ years of Project Controls experience, preferably in Nuclear Engineering or Construction.
• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage cost control systems for accurate financial reporting.
• Facilitate creation and maintenance of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Implement and maintain an Earned Value Management System on projects.
• Analyze cost and schedule performance indicators regularly.
• Support project management through analytical problem solving and decision making.
