Job summary

FGS LLC is seeking a Project Control Analyst to support the PMO team in managing project budgets, ETCs, and EACs while interfacing with subcontractors and government customers.

The role requires at least 3 years in government contracting, strong MS Office skills, and experience with JAMIS or CostPoint. 100% remote work with occasional California, MD travel supports our distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Finance related field; experience may substitute based on skillset.
• Minimum 3 years in budget, financial or project control in government contracting.
• Must have government contracting experience in FFP, T&M, and Cost Reimbursable contracts.
• At least 3 years with JAMIS, CostPoint, or similar software.
• Intermediate Excel skills: sumif, lookup, pivots, etc.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-service orientation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Plan, track, analyze, and report project control across the life cycle.
• Use spend plans to monitor labor, materials, and travel against budgets.
• Prepare Estimates to Complete (ETCs) and Estimates at Completion (EACs).
• Provide PO and funding data to Subcontracts team to support procurement.
• Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and funding alignment.
• Review resumes to verify labor categories meet contracts.
• Identify funding/resource risks and adjust spend plans accordingly.
• Monitor funding, expenditures, commitments, and resources and report findings.
• Prepare financial reports for management and customers on various cycles.
• Forecast expenditures and trends; track actual costs against budgets.
• Support compliance with regulations, terms, and internal policies.
• Attend internal and government meetings to provide financial data.
• Maintain project financial data and documents on SharePoint.
