Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking a Project Accountant to manage project accounting functions for a portfolio of programs, interfacing with Contracts and Business Units to support finance and accounting requirements.

The role requires experience with Deltek Costpoint 7 and knowledge of government contract types (FFP, T&M, CPAF, CPFF, FPLOE, and hybrids). Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint 7.
• Experience in accounts receivable, accounting, contracts, or project controls within a government contracting environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of government contract types (FFP, FPLOE, T&M, CPAF, CPFF, and hybrid).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports a variety of project accounting functions for a portfolio of programs.
• Works closely with the Contracts Department and the Business Units to support finance and accounting requirements.
• Completes project setup for CPFF, T&M, FFP, FFP/LoE & Indirect Projects.
• Generates invoices and supports the billing submittal process with backup documentation.
• Supports the close-out process.
• Assists with other project accounting tasks.
