Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint 7.
• Experience in accounts receivable, accounting, contracts, or project controls within a government contracting environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of government contract types, including FFP, FPLOE, T&M, CPAF, CPFF, and hybrid contracts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret, simplify, and effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment while managing competing priorities and meeting high performance expectations.
• Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supports a variety of project accounting functions for a portfolio of programs.
• Works closely with the Contracts Department and the Business Units to support finance and accounting requirements.
• Completes project setup for a variety of project types (CPFF, T&M, FFP, FFP/LoE & Indirect Projects).
• Generates invoices and supports the billing submittal process to include preparation of backup documentation and submittal of invoices using online WEB based system.
• Support the close-out process.
• Supports other project accounting tasks.
• Uses discretion and judgment in handling sensitive, proprietary, and confidential material.
• Duties require initiative, knowledge, flexibility and judgment.
• Must be a critical thinker and able to develop solutions of their own to solve problems.
