Babbidge Construction Company, a full-service construction management and general contracting firm serving Connecticut’s private institutional and commercial markets, seeks a Project Accountant to support the Accounting department and keep the billing cycle on track.

You will manage budgets, cost tracking, and reporting; coordinate with PMs and field teams for cost allocation; assist with month-end close and audits; review subcontractor invoices and owner billings.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Procore & Sage Intacct is a plus.
• Construction Experience/knowledge.
• AIA Contract reading.
• Understands different types of billing methods.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Lead by example.
• Be proactive in finding solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage project-level accounting including budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Understanding of different Contract Types.
• Assist with month-end close processes.
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Support audits and compliance requirements related to construction contracts and lien waivers.
• Process and review subcontractor invoices, owner billings, and job cost entries.
