Carter Architectural Millwork is seeking a Project Accountant to manage project startup, compliance, invoicing, AR, and month-end close activities. This role supports earned revenue tracking and cash flow while coordinating with project teams across CAM.

The position is primarily based in Georgia with flexibility for remote work when appropriate. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in project accounting within construction, strong knowledge of Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage requirements, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project accounting within construction or project-based environment.
• Experience with project compliance, construction billing, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; Innergy experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete project startup requirements, including project setup in Innergy and documentation tracking.
• Own and manage project compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Submit and track invoices and ensure alignment with values and completion percentages.
• Monitor AR balances and support timely collections.
• Prepare closeout packets and ensure proper archival of records.
• Collaborate with estimating, project management, engineering, procurement, and operations.
