Job summary

Foundation for California Community Colleges is seeking a Program Officer for Mathematics Initiatives for the California Education Learning Lab. This remote-first role supports projects statewide, including Roadmap-driven activities, research, and grant processes, while ensuring alignment with California higher education policy.

The position is full-time and limited-term for 24 months, with 30–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight (8)+ years of experience researching, analyzing, and synthesizing data, program development, and communications.
• Research and evaluation experience.
• Experience with strategic communications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continued advancement of the California Mathematics Alignment Project and Roadmap for Transforming Mathematics Education in California (grades 9-14).
• Oversee RFP processes from launch to grant awards compliance.
• Provide technical assistance, approve invoices and scope changes, and conduct cohort meetings.
• Develop research briefs or reports related to the Roadmap’s recommendations.
• Grow Learning Lab’s mathematics communities and engage stakeholders.
