FoundationCCC is a remote-first nonprofit supporting California Community Colleges through the California Education Learning Lab. The Program Officer for Mathematics Initiatives will drive the Roadmap and oversee grant portfolios, professional learning, and policy development for grades 9–14, with engagement across campuses and external partners.

The role leads grant processes, stakeholder outreach, and evaluation, while growing mathematical communities and coordinating communications; 75–100%

Formación

• 8+ years researching, analyzing, and synthesizing data, program development.
• Research and evaluation experience.
• Experience managing or developing a program.
• Experience with strategic communications.
• Understanding of public higher education systems, policy, and California.
• Understanding of California K-12 secondary systems and state agencies.
• Experience with higher education faculty and K-12 teachers.
• Knowledge of policy and research related to mathematics education in California.
• Experience developing funding opportunities or RFPs.
• Experience with higher education grantmaking for UC, CSU, and California Community Colleges.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee professional learning initiatives, research projects, and pilots.
• Manage grants development, execution, and management.
• Support policy development, outreach, and implementation.
• Engage stakeholders and manage contractors.
• Provide evaluation support for Roadmap recommendations.
• Oversee mathematics grant portfolio.
• Lead RFP processes from launch to grant awards, ensuring state compliance.
• Develop or oversee research briefs and reports.
• Grow Learning Lab’s mathematics communities.
• Coordinate communications, including Substack/LinkedIn posts.
• Serve as primary liaison with constituencies and contracted entities.
• Recruit and manage peer review processes and committees.
