Job summary

Fieldguide, a remote-first SaaS company based in San Francisco, seeks a Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives. You’ll partner with Leadership, Engineering, Product, Sales, Finance, and Operations to keep programs aligned with goals, on schedule, and within budget.

This role rewards structure in ambiguity: turn loosely defined ideas into well-scoped programs with clear owners, milestones, and KPIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing complex cross-functional programs in SaaS, enterprise software, or related technical environment.
• Able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experienced with Agile/Scrum frameworks and PM tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across execs, engineers, and partners.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; PMP/Agile/Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of strategic programs from scoping through launch, aligning with goals, timelines, and budget.
• Define scopes, schedules, and deliverables with stakeholders; maintain clear, evolving plans.
• Track progress against milestones and reallocate resources to keep programs on track.
• Act as a connective tissue across organizations and as the main contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Identify risks early and build mitigation plans; troubleshoot issues to keep programs moving.
• Define KPIs and report to leadership; use data to inform prioritization and process improvements.
• Lead rollout of new tools and workflows; support adoption and provide training/docs.
• Partner with CS leadership to forecast resourcing and capacity planning tied to roadmap execution.
• Stay current on PM best practices and SaaS trends, bringing in new tools as needed.
