Job summary

Wonderschool is seeking a Program Manager to run state and enterprise engagements. You will own the delivery plan, client relationships, and coordination with product and engineering across active projects. This is a hands-on role focused on planning, client meetings, acceptance criteria, and tough schedule conversations.

You will ensure what we promise to government and enterprise clients is delivered on time, on contract, with documented proof and proper governance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management on complex software delivery.
• Experience with contractual milestones, UAT-based acceptance, and formal change control.
• Excellent written communication for status reports and acceptance criteria language.
• Ability to run plans with teams you do not manage on both sides of the table.
• Experience with child care programs in state government is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery plan for each engagement across all workstreams.
• Run the client cadence on every project: weekly status, steering meetings, escalations, and working sessions with agency program staff, legal, and state IT.
• Keep dependency registers current with required data and dates; hold both sides to their dates.
• Manage scope: acceptance criteria negotiation, change requests, and intake of new work.
• Produce deliverables for client review and keep leadership ahead of risks across the portfolio.
• Coordinate with engineering on integration timelines with state systems; follow the conversation and spot slipping dates.
• Build the repeatable program playbook as we add states and enterprise clients.
