Job summary

The Council of Michigan Foundations is seeking a two-year, full-time Program Manager for the Southeast Michigan Early Childhood Funders Collaborative (SEM-ECFC). The role is remote and focused on coordinating a funder network, policy alignment, and learning activities to advance early childhood outcomes in Southeast Michigan.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, field-building, and financial management in collaboration with ECFC partners and CMF staff.

Qualifications

• A degree with a minimum of five years of experience in early childhood and/or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in philanthropy.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and formalize the collaborative structure and processes to meet expanded outcomes.
• Build a network of funders across Detroit and four Southeast Michigan counties to align resources and policy.
• Develop and implement a learning community with meetings, webinars, and events.
• Coordinate communication and education on early childhood priorities and funding strategies.
• Manage financial tracking and fundraising with the fiscal sponsor to sustain the role.
• Oversee consultants and serve as liaison between the collaborative and partners.
