Job summary

The Council of Michigan Foundations (CMF) in Detroit seeks a dynamic individual to advance education and engagement programs, learning activities, and related services. You will design, develop and implement CMF learning initiatives, coordinating with staff, members and partners.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and collaboration, with responsibilities spanning program planning, vendor management, and event execution to support CMF’s mission and annual conference.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience coordinating programs, leadership development or trainings.
• Experience in a nonprofit, foundation or membership organization preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Philanthropy, Public Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Learning Services programs and peer communities.
• Codesign engagement strategies to maximize impact of programs and peer communities.
• Serve as liaison between members and staff, building relationships and providing support.
• Monitor news and data related to key issue areas; curate information for chairs and members.
• Schedule programs and coordinate communications and promotions.
• Lead program planning calls and develop agendas; oversee vendors and venues.
• Assist with budgeting, procedures, and materials; support CMF Annual Conference.
