Job summary

Institute for Curriculum Services (ICS) seeks a Georgia and North Carolina Professional Learning and Education Specialist. Remote role requiring 35% travel; incumbent will nurture statewide partnerships and deliver professional development across Georgia and North Carolina, engaging districts, schools, and conferences.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s in history/education or related field, K-12 experience, and proficiency with Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or beyond in history/social studies, education, Jewish studies, English, or related field
• Experience in a K-12 educational setting (preferably as a social studies teacher or education administrator)
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and Zoom
• Comfort with CRM software or willingness and ability to quickly learn new software tools
• Preferred: In-depth knowledge of current trends, pedagogical best practices, and challenges in K-12 social studies education
• Preferred: Strong understanding of state and national social studies standards (e.g., C3 Framework, state-specific standards) and how to connect content and professional learning with them

Responsibilities

• Develop partnerships with Georgia and North Carolina educational organizations
• Deliver ECS professional development workshops and trainings
• Monitor state policies and provide insights on legislative developments impacting ECS work
• Coordinate with districts and cultural institutions to advance state-wide programs
• Maintain conferences and events tracking and CRM data for partner relationships
