Job summary

Seattle Children's is seeking a professional fee coder to extract accurate codes from physician documentation in a 100% remote role for Washington State residents. The coder will partner with compliance, clinical teams and the Revenue Cycle to ensure timely submission of codes in EPIC, while adhering to CMS/HCFA guidelines.

Required are a credentialed Professional Fee Coding Course and at least two years of medical coding experience; CPC-A/CPC/CCS-P or similar AHIMA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of credentialed Professional Fee Coding Course.
• Minimum of two years experience in medical coding or coding related experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect relevant, pertinent, accurate and timely professional fee diagnosis and/or procedural codes from physician documentation per practice plan and CMS/HCFA guidelines.
• Collaborate with compliance, clinical departments, physicians and SCH Revenue Cycle team members; resolve account problems in EPIC when needed.
