Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Profee Auditing & Education Specialist to perform professional fee coding audits and educate healthcare professionals. Remote role with a flexible schedule, involving audits, education development, and collaboration with clients to improve coding accuracy and compliance.

You will present coding and compliance topics, identify trends, and deliver webinars and materials. Requires CPC, CPMA preferred, 5+ years in coding/auditing, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Fee coding and/or auditing.
• 3+ years of Professional Fee education creation and presentation.
• Multi-Specialty coding/auditing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Professional Fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides rationale explaining changes with references and documentation location.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently.
• Develops and delivers virtual coder education programs and materials.
• Identifies coding trends and knowledge gaps and creates targeted content.
• Collaborates with leadership and clients to design educational materials.
• Serves as SME by presenting coding and compliance topics to coders and providers.
• Function in a professional, efficient and positive manner.
• Adhere to AAPC’s code of ethics.
• Maintain customer-service focus and professionalism.
